Tomorrow morning The National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) will officially open in Manhattan, and will be the nation's only museum dedicated to math. MoMath, located at 11 East 26th Street near Madison Square Park, will provide hands-on math programming and exhibits, all highlighting the WONDERS OF MATH. The museum will be of interest to all ages, as well as "those who are math-challenged, and math enthusiasts of all backgrounds and levels of understanding." (But probably not to those who just like to read and draw and use their right brain.)

Museum co-founder Cindy Lawrence says, "We want to show a different side of mathematics. Our goal is to get kids excited, and show them the math they're doing in school is just one tree in a whole huge forest."

Meet us at the Mathenaeum, nerds!

*The Mathenaeum is a seven-sided, columned geometric sculpture studio, duh. Just hook a left at the giant paraboloid.
