Marty Markowitz's holiday card HAS ARRIVED. The Brooklyn Borough President's annual card is always topical—remember the bike lane-themed one from 2010?—and this year is no different.

When we first opened our card at Gothamist HQ, we thought it was from The Brooklyn Nets or Barclays Center, as the entire illustration centers around both, but it seems Marty is just zero-ing in on his borough's new arena and home team. Inside he does give mention to Hurricane Sandy ("We took a big hit, but we'll never quit"), but mostly it's celebratory of all things Brooklyn... so its curious that in a borough where everything seems to be locally-sourced these days, he went to a Portland-based cartoonist, Dennis Adler, for the design.
