Tonight, former Velvet Underground frontman and current old, whispering frontman of Loutallica, Lou Reed, will be reading Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven in Brooklyn.

According to event details, he'll be offering "his own dramatization of the dark poem as well as the writer's other classics, plus songs inspired by Poe's work." Is Reed revisiting his old work (which was turned into a graphic novel earlier this year) to detract from his latest endeavor's terrible reviews?

In any case, this will all go down at BookCourt tonight at 7 p.m., and we'd recommend getting there early. But this would be a lot cooler if they held it at Poe's pad in the Bronx.

Here's a little listen at what you'll be getting tonight—while Reed does a great job with it, as with most things in life, we prefer Christopher Walken's version.
