Hello, everybody. We've had a couple of exciting months, launching SFist and DCist as well as growing our staff, and have a busy fall/winter planned as well:

- On September 30, there will be a second New York City Photobloggers event. Hosted by Rion and Jake, the evening's speakers include Eliot, David, Mike and many others. The action will begin at 6PM at the SoHo Apple Store.
- On November 16, Gothamist will have its first "Gothamist Presents At The Knitting Factory" evening, with a number of bands performing on the main stage. Gothamist Arts & Events' Jen Carlson and Coolfer have been coordinating the bands, and the line-up will be excellent, we assure you. We're looking to donate proceeds from the evening to a music program at the NYC Public Schools, via DonorsChoose.
- We're looking to launch a politics blog, focused on NYC-area politics, towards the end of the year, to gear up for the 2005 Mayoral race. Please email Jen or Jake if you're interested in helping out, noting "politics blog" in the subject heading.
- We're moving to a brand spanking new array of ultrafast servers and upgrading to Movable Type 3x over the next two weeks. So thanks for bearing with us for the last couple of months - our traffic has been growing at a pretty steady clip, so you may have noticed some slow server response. Wish us luck!
- Expect two or three other other super-surprises as well!
