As Billy Corgan told us last week when discussing Barclays Center vs. Madison Square Garden: "The thing I heard was there's an attraction to a new building." So maybe that's why when we get an announcement about a new show coming up there it seems like a bigger deal than if it were at MSG. This morning it was announced that Lady Gaga would be playing Barclays on March 6th of next year, with tickets going on sale September 28th (at 10 a.m.).

You can expect one of Gaga's over-the-top stage shows—her Born This Way Ball is described as "an Electro-Metal Pop-Opera; the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating.” Barclays' CEO Brett Yormark calls her "one of the most dynamic artists of our time and we are proud to add her to the list of extraordinary artists that will perform at Barclays Center in its inaugural year.” But will she wear her weed shirt and fishnets?

Those other musicians include: Neil Young, Barbra Streisand, Justin Bieber, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and the aforementioned Smashing Pumpkins.
