Mojo, the Helper MonkeyNick Denton posted this call for Gizmodo and Gawker Interns. Gothamist provides some comments:

"This is an advertisement for interns. [You're not getting any money, so forget about it, all of you still laid-off dot-commers.] Gawker and Gizmodo are niche media titles covering Manhattan culture and high-tech gadgets respectively [we're known by only hipsters and extreme geeks, respectively...make that would-be hipsters]. The interns would be working alongside Elizabeth Spiers at Gawker and Pete Rojas at Gizmodo [alongside, in case they need coffee or for their bathrooms to be cleaned]. The work experience would mainly involve research: for instance, compiling a directory of places in New York where it will still be possible to smoke. [Think wild and goose chase and you're halfway there.].There may also be the opportunity to write some short items for the sites. [Like "list compiled by..."] Candidates should have journalistic ambitions [can string together a sentence], some knowledge with the subject matter of the title for which they want to work [be able to re-write Page Six and parts of Wired], computer literacy [have your own laptop], and familiarity with IM [have your own laptop with high speed modem, for when you're not allowed to the apartment...I mean, office]. The work would be 10-20 hours per week, and a very modest weekly stipend will be available [enough for some Tasti D-Lite, but no more]."

This is a lot like the Seinfeld episode where Kramer gets an intern. Or the Simpsons episode where Homer gets a helper monkey.
