Photographs of Kiefer Sutherland leaving his apartment to surrender to the NYPD by Jason DeCrow/AP

Kiefer Sutherland had no Jack Bauer-esque tricks up his sleeve today when he turned himself in to the NYPD for an unfortunate headbutting incident earlier this week. The Daily News reports that he was surrounded by the media as he silently entered the First Precinct with a smile around 4 p.m. today.

The paper shares this quirky detail as well: "Sutherland left his girlfriend's Greenwich Village apartment and climbed into a Lincoln Town Car—license plate DIVA 33—for his ride to the precinct." It's likely he's still in there as TMZ hasn't updated their post yet—allegedly the desk-appearance ticketing process could take an hour for a normal civilian, but with all the autographs the 24 star will likely be signing, it could be an all-nighter!
