In celebration of her upcoming debut solo album, Crush Songs, Karen O will be performing a few intimate shows, four of which will be in New York City. Tickets for the shows, which will be at the McKittrick Hotel (September 9th,10th, 11th) and Le Poisson Rouge (September 12th), go on sale this Friday at 9 a.m. (Outside of New York, shows will take place in Hollywood's Forever Cemetery, London, and Berlin.)

The announcement was made today, along with this statement from Karen O: “I'm very pleased to announce that I'll be performing Crush Songs to some very intimate audiences. If you're in the mood for love please come join my crush odyssey at these limited engagements. I apologize in advance that these shows are so few but I guess that makes them all the more special if you can make it SO don't miss out!"

Regarding the album itself, O says, “When I was 27 I crushed a lot. I wasn’t sure I’d ever fall in love again. These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours.”

There will also be listening parties leading up to the release of the album—those will take place at secret locations in apartments where hosts will play the deluxe edition of the album—to attend one, head over here.
