It feels like it's been a long time since the last really memorable Tweetstorm (like the great 'bitch' debate of 2012) from denim advocate Kanye West, but in the early hours of today, he remedied that with an invitation to all his fans to come eat with him at his favorite restaurant in NYC: The Spotted Pig.
If you wanna have a drink with me, book a table at the spotted pig when I’m back in NY.

As much as we'd love to think Kanye was really talking to us directly (and considering how much we've supported him over the years and ranted at dinner parties about how Yeezus is truth, we certainly think we've earned dinner), the Tweet was sadly taken out of context. He's not inviting US or YOU to dinner—he was inviting Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week creator Fern Mallis, who dissed Kanye to the Post. "I'm kind of over Kanye," she said. "I mean, I'm not a fan of his music, and the attitude and the agenda is not my style."
Check out the full timeline of Tweets to understand the context:
While you might be disappointed you won't be sharing seared mackerel with Kanye anytime soon, at least we have been given definitive proof this week of his unyielding lust for The Spotted Pig: he took Kim Kardashian there for Valentine's Day, he took Taylor Swift there on Tuesday, and now this. If you really want to meet Ye, just camp out at the West Village staple—better yet, invite him to a private party there.
to all of you saying that Spotted Pig doesn't take reservations, IT'S KANYE

This isn't the only Kanye fun today: West also gave an interview to Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club for the first time since 2013, and he revealed his new album is 80% done and will be surprise-released ala Beyonce. Also, he owes Beck a call, and Kim Kardashian made him take 30 showers after dating Amber Rose.
