Good for Jon Hamm—the man who plays the booze-soaked Don Draper on Mad Men has given up alcohol. TMZ reports that Hamm checked himself into Silver Hill, located in New Canaan, CT, in February, and completed a 30-day rehab program for alcohol abuse. This was just prior to a grueling press tour for the final season of Mad Men, which premieres on April 5th.

His reps have released this statement: "With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward."

Previously, Michael Jackson, Judy Garland, Mariah Carey, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Diana Ross, Billy Joel, Liza Minnelli, Rita Hayworth, and Truman Capote (amongst others) have all sought help at Silver Hills.

If you know someone who may suffer from alcoholism, there are many places out there where you can seek guidance and help—here's a good place to start.
