Last night, Senator and presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain made a pair of appearances on Saturday Night Live. The first was a campaign commercial, emphasizing that America needs a really old, old, old, old President. But the other was more hilarious--during Weekend Update (video above), McCain urged Democrats not to pick a candidate any time soon--"take every possible second" to weigh their pros and cons.

And SNL did offer up a Barack Obama/Hillary Clinton commercial (below) that highlighted their similarities and differences:

McCain appeared on Saturday Night Live as a host in 2002 (musical guest, The White Stripes). And Lorne Michaels donated $2,300 to McCain's campaign last year.
