As expected, Brooklyn native and Blue Ivy's dad Jay-Z will christen the new Barclays Center with concerts. Today, it was announced that his homecoming will take place on September 28, 29 and 30. That's just a week and a half before Barbra!

The tickets go on sale—on Ticketmaster— for American Express cardholders on Wednesday, July 11, while the general public will try to get tickets on Friday, July 13. While 7,000 tickets are reportedly set aside at the under-$30 price level, the Bergen Record points out, "The building seats about 19,000 for concerts, so that’s a pretty good chunk of ‘cheap seats’ for a highly sought-after show. But there’s only one other price listed: $254.50. Presumably that’s for the entire lower level." And then with Ticketmaster fees, that top-tier ticket goes for $282.75.

The multitasking rapper—hey, he knows graphic design!—is part of the Brooklyn Nets basketball team's management (he's officially a "director") and is looking to open an outpost of his 40/40 Club at the billion-dollar arena.
