James Franco may have gotten a D in acting/directing class, but he's not letting that stop him from purchasing the film rights for The Adderall Diaries—which he plans to write, direct and star in. Stephen Elliott, who penned the memoir, tweeted the news along with the announcement of the paperback release, but says he doesn't think the deal is "officially finished." He told the Observer, "I'm mostly hoping that people are going to say, 'Oh James Franco optioned this, so I'm going to buy it and read it because I like him.'" He later asked, "but is he handsome enough?"
