The first-ever Brooklyn Podcast Festival is coming to the borough in November, bringing four days of live shows and panels related to everyone's favorite subway time-killer. Almost all events will take place at the Bell House and Union Hall.
Highlights among the lineup's professional and amateur talkers include Chapo Trap House, Kids in the Hall's Kevin McDonald and the editors of the Reductress. There's also a Slate Money live taping focused on food, and a show called Pulitzer Surprises that "takes advantage of the horrible idea" that anyone can be nominated for a Pulitzer. And definitely don't skip out on Bobby Finger and Lindsey Weber's Who? Weekly show, about all the celebrities whose names you never bothered to learn.
City Farms — the promoting team behind the Bell House, Union Hall, and a handful of other Brooklyn bars — produces the event, which also includes a panel discussion called "Pillow Talk: The Personal in Podcasting." Hosted by Andrea Silenzi, Lu Olkowski, Giulia Rozzi and Will Miles, that discussion takes place at BRIC House, and is free with RSVP.
