There's good news about September's impending arrival, and there's some very, very bad news. First, for the good: Netflix is blessing us with a large chunk of the 2014-'15 television season, with good stuff like Madam Secretary, The League, and The Walking Dead streaming so you can catch up before the new seasons kick off. We're also getting a movie all about !!!!!!!!!!PANDAS!!!!!!!!!!! And Wes Anderson's charming romantic comedy Moonrise Kingdom.
The bad news is, Netflix's deal with Epix is expiring at the end of the month, so if you want to watch any of the Hunger Games films, or The Wolf Of Wall Street, or even Transformers: Age of Extinction, you'll have to shell out for a Hulu subscription.
The WORST news, by the way, is that we're losing The IT Crowd, which is one of the greatest Channel 4 comedies and worthy of repeated binge-watches—it's also the show that gave the world Chris O'Dowd and Richard Ayoade, and for that we must be very grateful. In exchange, we're getting the 11th season of Grey's Anatomy, which is the TV version of a dumpster fire. Netflix, thankfully, makes up for this by streaming The Canyons, the celebrated "erotic thriller" starring Lindsay Lohan and James Deen. God bless you, Flixy.
