It seems like only yesterday Fred Armisen channeled The Dead Poet's Society in the season finale of Saturday Night Live, but Season 42 is only a couple of months away. And if you'd like to see Kate McKinnon make all her costars break firsthand, you better move fast—as in previous years, NBC is only opening up the SNL ticket lottery during the month of August.

Starting Monday, August 1st, you can try your hand at the lottery by sending an email to that includes all your contact information. If you're chosen, you'll receive two tickets to a random show date, either for the 8 p.m. dress rehearsal or the 11:30 p.m. live broadcast—sadly, you can't specify a time or date when you enter the lottery, so don't make any travel plans anytime soon. Note that the show is only open to folks over the age of 16, and that the lottery closes at the end of August.

If you aren't lucky enough to get selected in the lottery, you can try camping out on the stand-by line, located on the 48th Street-side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The tickets are distributed at 7 a.m. on the mornings of the show and people get there EARLY, but you do get to pick the date, and the dress rehearsal vs. live show, so there's that.

No word yet on an SNL 42 premiere date or any of next season's hosts/musical guests, but it's an election season, so expect quite a bit of stage time from Darrell Hammond and Kate McKinnon while Hillary and Trump do battle IRL.

Until then, you can catch some special Weekend Updates from Colin Jost and Michael Che, from the DNC this week:
