On the internet you have to deal with commenters expressing opinions, but with live television you have formally lodged complaints filed with the FCC. Through a FOIA request, Government Attic recently received a collection of complaints filed against Saturday Night Live, all between 2008 and 2012. Click through for a sampling of the complaints filed from all over the country, including New York City—viewers were offended by everything from cursing, to a sexual parody that included Ganesh, to "weird sex" (which the viewer further described as "two men passionately kissing." Sigh.).All of the complaints can bee seen on this PDF, and we've reached out to SNL to find out more about how they deal with these—we will update if we hear back. [via Boing Boing]
