This Saturday there's a great intimate show happening at the Seaport Museum—so great, in fact, we figured tickets would have been sold out by now, but we were just alerted that there are some left. The show will feature an intimate set by the inimitable Amanda Palmer, former Dresden Doll and current Kickstarter millionairess.
We're told the benefit, which will be held on the top floor of the museum, is happening because "The City Museum recently took control of the furloughed Seaport Museum and has been doing an incredible job, but Mayor Bloomberg has given them a short amount of time to turn things around. So they are doing everything possible to reach new audiences and spread awareness of the recent changes and freshly designed exhibits."
The top floor space, which offers some amazing views, will also feature an Occupy Wall Street photo exhibit. Tickets for Saturday's even start at $55 and include an open bar (beer, wine and rum!) and snacks from New Amsterdam Market.
