If you have a view of the Hudson, you'll be relieved to know that the seven F-16 fighters zooming up and down the river this morning are the USAF Thunderbirds, the Air Force's "demonstration squadron" that performs in airshows around the country.

"At approximately 0930 hours, seven (7) F-16 aircraft from the USAF Thunderbirds will be flying over the Hudson River," the NYPD said in a release. "They will be traveling down the Hudson River from the city line in the Bronx to the Statue of Liberty. The aircraft will make two passes in both directions along the Hudson."

Hopefully this flyover will result in a decent Instagram: This is from their Chicago run:

We're hoping for some good weather this afternoon! #Chicago #airandwatershow #afthunderbirds #airforce
