One time, in college, our friend Daryl asked if we wanted to come inside to hang at his house when we dropped him off. We declined. Later we found out that one of his roommates was related to Billy Joe Armstrong, who was inside playing guitar when we pulled off and headed back to the dorms. Now, so many years later, we have another chance to see Armstrong & Co. play live... amongst 19,000 other people.

The group just announced the Brooklyn stop on their ¡UNO!, ¡DOS!, ¡TRÉ! Tour (supporting their album trilogy which will be released between September 2012 and January 2013), and surprise surprise, it's at the Barclays Center. Presales go on sale this Wednesday, September 12th at 10 a.m., with tickets opening to the general public this Friday at noon. Ticket prices will range from $27.50 to $52. And if you need some convincing to pull the trigger, listen to some of their classic adderall-driven three-minute punk pop songs below (you know, way before this thing happened). BYO-Mud!

And at this time John Del Signore would like to remind you that he in no way supports this "corporate ersatz punk shillrock."
