Ah, Valentine's Day. Ten years ago, Gothamist remembers the high school ritual of giving sending people crappy carnations. Screw the flowers - they die after a few hours in an overly dry apartment (and if you must do flowers, think an elegant orchid plant). Remember that no matter what you happen to do tomorrow night, you will be spending Valentine's Day with at least one person you love - yourself. Yes, it's all about yourself. And to be happy about yourself, call someone, maybe a parent, grandparent, or that friend who helped you throw up last weekend and wish them a Happy Valentine's Day.
