Mountain Goats Happy Halloween! If you missed the Mountain Goats Saturday night at Bowery Ballroom, you've got another chance to catch them tonight at the even cozier Knitting Factory. This show is extra exciting thanks to the packed lineup of not-to-be-missed opening bands. We're talking about Grizzly Bear (read the Gothamist interview) and The Tears & Prayers of Arthur Digby Sellers (as seen in Gothamist Does CMJ).

Rasputina If you can't get a ticket to Knitting Factory, consider Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings at SOB's for some 60's soul revival. For something more traditional, the (new) Misfits will put on their punk rock horror show at BB Kings. Then there's the haunting music of goth favorite Rasputina at Bowery Ballroom. For old-school hardcore costumed beer-bong fun, try Murphy's Law at The Continental. For electroclash performance art and dancing, Fischerspooner are at Irving Plaza. Last but not least, if a musical legend playing a pool hall in the middle of Brooklyn is your thing, don't miss Calvin Johnson.
