UPDATE: This photo, courtesy of the NYPL, was taken on Avenue D and East 10th Street on March 23rd, 1937. The photo is by Berenice Abbott (whose collection you should really dive into), and the notes read: "Two women converse on corner in front of Corn Exchange Bank Trust Co., truck at curb, other building at right."
