According to this Wall Street Journal article, the New York Times is slowly updating it's website. If you look at the front page of the site today, you can already see some subtle changes to the user interface, namely the use of a left justified image and large headline, instead of the usual right justified image. The new layout gives more room for sub-section stories on the first screen. You can see every version of the NYTimes.com online since 1996 at the Wayback Machine. [Jen]: Change is hard.
