We've been fans for a little while now though (they're way better than this Roy Lichtenstein painting) and after checking out their live show we knew we had to book them for our next Movable Hype.

The sound? An optimistic Lou Reed, Pavement but not Pavement-worship, quirky, smart and for the most part upbeat.

What is your first conscious memory of living in New York?
Something in the snow in Forest Hills. I think I was wearing a clip-on bow tie.

What is your favorite/least favorite memory involving New York?
Favorite: Eating street meat.
Least favorite: My body's reaction to eating street meat.

What is your favorite place to drink in NYC, and what's the best night to go out?
Commonwealth on 5th Ave in Brooklyn because of the jukebox. Always
Monday nights.

What is your favorite/least favorite thing about playing shows in New York? Is there a difference between shows in Manhattan and Brooklyn?
Favorite: Bringing the rock.
Least favorite: Fitting stuff into Taxis.

Everything we see and hear comes from this city and makes its way into our songs.
