The Upright Citizens Brigade is synonymous with improv in New York, thanks in no small part to the four original members of the troupe, Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Matt Walsh and Ian Roberts. And if you never got to see them live before, good news: the quartet is reuniting for one night only at Carnegie Hall to kickoff the Del Close Marathon next year.

The UCB foursome has each gone on to big things in the comedy world, but has gotten together for the occasional reunion. This time though, they're taking to one of the most storied stages in New York, Carnegie Hall, to bring the funny. Entertainment Weekly reports that the Carnegie Hall show will happen on June 28, 2018, and should probably provide a brief respite from what will no doubt be a feverish midterm election season for anyone who's lucky enough to go.

According to EW, the UCB originals will be performing their ASSCAT improv, in which they take just a single word suggestion from the audience and then do an entire improvised comedy show off that one word. Tickets for UCB at Carnegie Hall won't go on sale until next May, so in the mean time I guess, just be very patient.
