We've been bummed out ever since we crunched the numbers and realized that there's no way in hell we'll ever be able to retire early and buy The Dude's Venice bungalow. We tried turning to our Abide Guide for comfort, but nothing was working...until we heard the news this morning that there will be a The Big Lebowski cast reunion at this year's Lebowski Fest!
In celebration of The Big Lebowski Limited Edition Blu-ray, released on August 16th, Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Julianne Moore and T Bone Burnett will be doing a special Q & A at a screening of the film at Hammerstein Ballroom that day—tickets cost $42 for that, which is at least in our price range. In addition, on August 15th, there will be the annual Bowling Party, this year taking place at 300 New York at Chelsea Piers—that costs $30.
Conspicuously missing from that motley crew is Tara Reid, star of The Big Lebowski 2, but we suppose that's just part of the way the whole durned human comedy keeps perpetuatin' itself.
