Should the Occupy Wall Street protesters get ready for their Hollywood close ups? The Dark Knight Rises cast and crew may soon be filming amidst the protest, according to the LA Times. The production has been filming under the name Magnus Rex all over the world, and is now moving to Gotham for 14 days (starting on October 29th).
According to a source who is familiar with the actors’ schedules, "cast members have been told the shoot could include scenes shot at the Occupy Wall Street protests. While... the protests could figure into the production... that doesn't mean they will be included in the storyline." This means Christopher Nolan isn't necessarily rewriting the script to include the protests, they may just be a backdrop or included as "a stand-in for something that already exists in the film."
If the protest adds "an element of gritty authenticity" to Nolan's final product, think he'll kick back some profits to the 99%?
