As the Lohan turns: With Lindsay Lohan's driving coming under greater scrutiny after she allegedly hit a pedestrian with a Porsche SUV, her mother is a little regretful. Carvel cake lover Dina Lohan told the Daily News that maybe she wouldn't have put LiLo in show business if she could do it over again, "I was born into the business. My mother was an entertainer. It was natural. But yes, in the next life, I might not do it."

Dina Lohan, who made a rambling appearance on Dr. Phil's show, now seems less involved in her daughter's life. After Lindsay was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident early Wednesday morning, she reportedly "called her father, her lawyer, and a friend" from the stationhouse.

The 50-year-old mom says she's not clubbing with her daughter anymore. "In the early years," she recalled, "I would go with her to clubs, because I wanted to see who the enablers were," and suggested her daughter is being negatively influenced by someone in her circle:

She also expressed suspicions about Lindsay’s 25-year-old assistant and constant companion, Gavin Doyle, who she says left the accident scene with Lindsay. Dina noted that Lindsay has gotten into even more trouble than usual this year while with Doyle, including crashing another Porsche into an 18-wheeler in California in June. Cops are still investigating to determine if the two lied about who was driving.

“I have questions about Gavin,” Dina said. “There have been numerous incidents with Lindsay where he has been present. He was with her recently at [millionaire Sam Magid’s] party when she was falsely accused of burglarizing jewelry. It’s all very sketchy.”

Lindsay Lohan believes she's being set up by the alleged victim, but she seems to have issues with driving Porsches.
