As part of Major League Baseball's All-Star Game celebrations, the DHL All-Star FanFest opened today at the Jacob Javits Center. Running through Tuesday, FanFest offers activities that any baseball fans of all ages can enjoy.
There are booths where attendees can test their pitching skills against video images of Major League Sluggers, attempt to hit "home runs," take fielding practice, and other active events. On the upper level, baseball legends are signing autographs (Reggie Jackson was there this morning) as well as a collector's showcase.
Along with the fan activities, there are exhibits from the Hall of Fame, on women in baseball, and the Negro Leagues. Fans can also by ballpark foods and official All-Star game merchandise in the clubhouse store.
