From the people who brought you the Derelict Fashion Show comes the Griswold Family Christmas. On December 7th and 8th, BBQ Films is bringing a Christmas movie weekend to Williamsburg, with screenings of Christmas Vacation, Gremlins, and Elf, all hosted by the Griswold family, and complete with Cousin Eddie's RV. (A smaller version, but we're assured that Cousin Eddie will be on hand, "bathrobe donned, fake blue hose in hand because 'the shitter' will of course be full.")

Each event will also feature Santa, elves, gourmet popcorn, egg nog, carolers, festive decor, and Chocolate Stout from Brooklyn Brewery. With all of their events BBQ Films aims to bring classic cult films to life... so we hope that means a landspeed record-breaking amateur recreational saucer sled ride:

The events take place Friday December 7th and Saturday the 8th at ACME Studio [63 North 3rd Street]. Elf will be first on the 7th at 8 p.m., followed by Christmas Vacation on the 8th at 4:30 p.m., and Gremlins that night at 9:30 p.m (including midnight snacks!). Tickets are $25 and include one complementary drink (beer and wine is $3 all night); polaroids with Santa; a holiday decoration to take home; and more.
