Normally Gothamist will tell you about films upon their release, however today we are going to tell you all about 10 films before their release. Well, we can't exactly tell you all about them, because they haven't been made yet. This is where you come in.

Tomorrow night there is a fundraiser being held to support the CineMinutes: Ten Takes on New York project. If you go and support these guys, there will be 10 short films made that are "inspired by and dedicated to" NYC. Gothamist loves film shorts based on our city for a number of reasons. Mostly because it gives us a glimpse into lives and areas that we might not be seeing. It lets us in on the nooks and crannies. So we recommend you all get yourselves over to the Cutting Room tomorrow night so we can see what these filmmakers have in mind.

When: Wednesday July 14th, 9pm
Where: the Cutting Room (19 W 24th)
Why: for all of the above reasons! Also, click on the image to the right for more...

UPDATE: Gothamist has found out, thanks to Aaron, that Nikki Borodi will be performing at this benefit tonight. One more reason to get yourselves over to the Cutting Room later!
