200-square-feet indoors, 600-square-feet outdoors

The last time we checked in on the small apartments being documented by SPACEStv, they weren't really all that small (500 to 3,000 square-feet!). Their latest offerings, however, are closer to actual "New York City small," hovering around the low hundred square-footage area. Yet they have us wondering, does a living space really fall under the "small" category if it comes with a private outdoor area? Check out this 200-square-foot Boerum Hill studio... which features a 600-square-foot garden:

And here's a 330-sq-foot apartment on the Upper West Side, which comes with a private terrace:

These are still palaces compared to that 78-square-foot apartment on the Upper West Side.
