On Friday night, Dolly Parton's costumes went on display at Cedar Lake, in the shadows of the High Line on West 26th Street. The event, put on by Chandelier Creative in partnership with The Dollywood Foundation, promised a special guest amongst their lineup of Rufus Wainwright, Kylie Minogue, and Jake Sheers, but Dolly herself was nowhere to be found. Still, her costumes over the years were a dazzling substitute.

From sequins to shoulder pads, every era of Dolly was on display, as a video installation played the 68-year-old's most iconic performances, giving the whole event a nice retrospective feel. Dolly's favorite white dress, which is also the one she wants to be buried in, was one of those on display—did you know her favorite color is white?

The event—sadly, a one-night affair—was to benefit Dolly's Imagination Library, and there was a silent auction being held throughout—the black dress with the long red train you'll see in this gallery was one of the items on the block.

The beyond amazing @kylieminogue!! @chandeliercreative kills it again!!! #aDollyGoodXmas
