About a month ago, France's Swing Jammerz took their "I Charleston" series to New York, grabbing dancers off Facebook and sending them dancing, flash-mob style, to some of the city's most famous attractions. And now you can watch the video!
The dancers hit up Grand Central Terminal, the Empire State Building and Times Square, all kicking their feet to a dance once considered "immoral and provocative" during prohibition times. But as The Click Heard Round The World puts it, "How else will they know how awesome lindy hop is unless they see it up close and in person?" So all you lindy hop enthusiasts, get outside and dance! We promise absolutely nobody on the subway will be annoyed.
