Thinking back on college, I wouldn't have picked out my old friend Bridget Mullen as being the first one to appear in New York magazine's "Scene" column, but there she is, bracketed on one side by naked photographer Spencer Tunick and gallery owner Paul Judelson. It's strange, because Bridget never went in for that kind of pretentious stuff- she stood out for that. I think the picture was taken at the Armory Show, which makes sense, because Bridget was one hell of a painter. I have no idea where she's been for the last four years, but people seem to turn up in the damnedest places. It wasn't half as much a shock as that time a couple of months back when I flipped open the New Yorker and found a naked picture of my 65 year old aunt, but still.
