Brooklyn's Favorite Halloween Display Invites You On Pumpkin Bus Ride From Hell

For eight years now, a Boerum Hill couple has been putting their creative energies to great use terrifying little children in the neighborhood with their elaborate Halloween displays. And this year, the Wes Craven-approved horror family has invited you to go on a nightmare bus ride aboard the B666 line, where innocent pumpkins are terrorized, trampled, or induced to vomit up their seeds.

There are 12 figures made up of a total of 25 pumpkins used in the display. The bus includes terrified pumpkin passengers puking as their malevolent bus driver gleefully takes credit (look at the confidence in that stance) for running over an innocent pumpkin person. Meanwhile, lots of pumpkin onlookers stand around snapping photos with their phones instead of calling the pumpkin police, which is basically a real thing these days.

Whether or not this is a statement about Vision Zero or just another B-movie brainstorm from the minds who previously brought you bloody babies, bloody pumpkin massacres, and bloody clowns, we can't say for sure (mostly because the couple wasn't home when we stopped by this week). But if you want to see this display for yourself, just head over to Bergen Street between Bond and Nevins.
