Composer, musician, artist and Alien Princess Björk hasn't blessed New York with a live show since 2012, a drought that was expected to end when she headlines Governors Ball this summer. But there is EVEN BETTER NEWS: Björk will be playing a slew of "intimate" shows at Carnegie Hall and City Center ahead of her Gov Ball residency. Ready your eardrums for some unearthly song noises and prepare for your life to change.
Björk's people have announced six upcoming shows: two at Carnegie Hall on March 7th and 14th, and four at City Center on March 25th and 28th, and April 1st and 4th. Prices haven't been released yet, but fans can get presale tickets starting at 11 a.m. on Monday, while the rest of the world can score tickets on Friday, also at 11 a.m.
Note that 2015 is a big year for the warbling Icelandic goddess—in addition to playing Governors Ball, she's getting treated to a full-scale MoMA retrospective and will release a new album, Vulnicura, in March.
