DrunkOnPower5.jpgCan you believe it's just about a year since Bush and his band of Republicans invaded Gotham with their rhetoric. It was quite a time, barricades, protests, mass arrests, etc.

You can choose to mourn this anniversary and stay at home watching CNN or Fox News or you can put on your dancing shoes, sip a martini and join the masters of satire, Billionaires for Bush, for their "Drunk on Power" Ball. Just dust off your tuxes and tiaras, head on down to the Frying Pan tonight and trip the light fanastic to the musical selections of DJ Small Change, DJ Cocoa Cracker Brown (nublu) and DJ Mr. Bless. Also performing are Rude Mechanical Orchestra, Shinto Kings and The Himalayas.

Festivities start at 8pm and go "til it's too-late-to-stop-John Roberts." The Frying Pan is located at Pier 63, on the Hudson River at the end of 23rd St. Tickets are available at the door for $20. Proceeds go to benefit the Billionaires and the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign.
