Mixing a little art with life, actor Vincent Pastore, best known as "Big Pussy" on The Sopranos, allegedly beat up his girlfriend in downtown Manhattan (Mott Street) - and in public. The NY Post described the brawl:
The brawny Pastore allegedly punched fiancée Lisa Regina — who formerly played a bit part on the gangland show — as they drove through SoHo during the start of a trip to see the woman's family in New Jersey, said Regina's lawyer Jeff Schwartz. The TV leg-breaker allegedly became enraged and accused the 44-year-old woman of delaying the start of their journey by being late...He began beating Regina in the car and smashed her head against the dashboard...He then stopped his SUV in front of 284 Mott St., dragged her out of the vehicle by her hair and slammed her to the ground, where she injured her tailbone, Schwartz said.
He then drove off.
Ack! Is it possible that you need to be extra careful if you're just dating an actor who has made a living playing all sorts of mob characters? And they were going to visit her family! Regina was treated for her injuries, and the police are expecting Pastore to surrender this week; he'll be charged with assault.
The Sopranos will come back sometime in the next year.
