Last night John Mayer played an unannounced (music, not comedy) set at the Village Underground—acoustic, bespectacled, and sporting a little winter scruff. The venue Tweeted around 2 or 3 a.m.: "John Mayer once again graced our stage tonight and shared three of his new original songs. AMAZING and HUMBLING! Thank you, John!" They have since deleted that message; it's okay Village Underground, we all like John Mayer a little bit when we're drunk.
