lastrada.jpgFor Fellini fans, Gothamist has your next two nights of movie viewing sewn up.

The American Museum of the Moving Image's summer outdoor film series in Socrates Sculpture Park continues this evening with their Italy night, featuring Federico Fellini's La Strada (1954). Before the free film every Wednesday at sunset, AMMI provides music and food vendors from their starring countries, as well as a correlated short film and even dance performances. Giullietta Masina and Anthony Quinn star in this tale of the love between a circus strongman and the saddest clown you'll probably ever see. *sniff* Gothamist is getting choked up just thinking about it. The park is located on Broadway at Vernon Blvd in Long Island City, Queens. The pre-screening festivities begin at 7 pm.

Still haven't had enough of Il Maestro? Thursday night is the last chance to see La Dolce Vita (1960) at Film Forum in their extended run of this new 35mm print. What more can we say to entice you? Roma. The Trevi Fountain. Marcello Mastroianni. Sigh. The film runs at 1:10, 4:30 and 8 pm with tickets available online or at the box office on Houston at 7th Ave.
