The 19-year-old daughter of Jon Bon Jovi has been arrested at her upstate NY college after she allegedly overdosed on heroin early this morning. Police were called to the Dunham Dorm at Hamilton College after someone reported that Stephanie Bongiovi had allegedly overdosed on heroin. Police found a "small quantity" of heroin in the dorm, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Bongiovi was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be released later today. She has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia; a 21-year-old male student was also arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Bongiovi, who is Bon Jovi's only daughter and one of four children, faces up to a year in prison for each count.
We can only imagine the kinds of questions Bon Jovi must be asking himself right now: what could have caused her to runaway toward heroin? Was she in and out of love? Was she burning for love? Was she living in sin? Was she only lonely? Why couldn't she keep the faith? Now Bon Jovi is at the edge of a broken heart, but there's one thing he knows for sure: he doesn't want her dead or alive. He wants her alive.
