Westley and Buttercup, the most romantic on-screen couple of all time, are set to reunite at this year's New York Film Festival. Far from the Fire Swamps, the two will come together again under the lights of Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall on October 2nd (the same day the movie will be released on Blu-ray)—this gives the Alamo Drafthouse about a week to send up some Bottles Of Wits.
According to a press release we received, the reunion will include director Rob Reiner, as well as cast members Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Billy Crystal, Carol Kane, Mandy Patinkin ("holla!"), and Chris Sarandon—who will all participate in a post-screening Q&A. But what about Fred Savage? WHAT ABOUT WALLY?
The New York Film Festival (which is in its 50th year) is taking place September 28th through October 14th.
