DID YOU HEAR? Famous power couple Beyonce and Jay Z are probably going to get divorced this year, and their now-crumbling marriage may have even been a sham this whole time. Let's all talk about this deeply private part of the lives of two people we don't know personally, shall we?
On July 21st (months after the Elevator Incident) a blind item ran claiming a couple sounding like the Carters were on the verge of a break-up, and that their marriage was a business arrangement this whole time. "They are separating this year, with the divorce to follow in about six months. It will be very clean and very fast," the report alleged.
On July 26th, the Post ran a very long thing about the couple's "crumbling marriage." We didn't read it, but it's here for the Beyonce/Jay Z 2014 Break Up completist. After that ran, Beyonce posted a photo of Jay Z and Blue Ivy on her Instagram, because optics.
Then, while you were sleeping, the Post published a fresh take, with new intel regarding the possible split. Apparently Beyonce was spotted looking at a Chelsea penthouse, which is smaller than the couple's current Tribeca home. A source told them that while checking the place out, “She was very quiet, as if she was looking on the sly." When the Post tried to confirm, "a publicist for Beyonce hung up" on them.
The Daily News also published their own "exclusive" with the same information, but some fresh new quotes from another source, who told them, "Let’s leave it at it’s only a matter of time (until they split.) It’s so obvious now it’s embarrassing. Around the time the tour ends, they’ll make a choice on whether they want to separate or admit trouble."
Tickets are still available for some of their remaining tour dates—get yours now, doesn't sound like there will be a reunion tour.
