Last week's fireball
Last week a massive fireball loomed briefly over Greenpoint during the filming of Boardwalk Empire—it looked pretty amazing, so we're excited to see this is becoming a regular thing in the borough. Tomorrow between 2 and 4 p.m., NotifyNYC alerts: "a movie filming will simulate explosion w/ fireball effect on private property near Columbia St and Gowanus Bay, BK."
What could it be for? Here's a list of what's filming this week around NYC—but it's safe to say that neither Girls or Gossip Girl will be involving pyrotechnics in their next season. But who cares what it's for, as Beavis and Butthead once exclaimed, "Fire! Fire! Fire! Fire!"
