Anne Hathaway, subway etiquette breaker, Catwoman portrayer, and possible OWS supporter, will be showing off her singing chops in the forthcoming film adaptation of Les Miserables, but before then, she'll be doing a very special one-night concert to support The Public Theater.
According to The Public Theater, Hathaway's gig, "Perfectly Marvelous: The Songs of Cabaret with Anne Hathaway and Friends," is set for October 24 at 7 p.m. (tickets go on sale Tuesday, October 2—$300 a pop, or $100 for an obstructed seat:
Anne Hathaway will take to the stage at Joe's Pub for an intimate, unforgettable celebration of the score of Cabaret, beloved as both a smash Broadway musical and Oscar-winning movie. Joined by special guests from stage and screen, Anne will host and perform a concert version of John Kander and Fred Ebb's incredible songs, including "Willkommen," "Cabaret," "Maybe This Time," and of course, "Perfectly Marvelous." The evening will feature direction by Ted Sperling and musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell. So come to the Cabaret!
"I am delighted to reunite with The Public for this special night to celebrate the theater's rededication, and support its mission to spread great theater to all the people of New York (tourists are welcome too)," said Anne Hathaway.
