As a New Yorker, it's rare that one has a "warning" sign outside your office about alligators. That's why Gothamist was so taken by this sign outside the facility we were at in Tampa. Unfortunately, we did not see any alligator, though a colleague had spotted one previously. In fact, the alligator refused to emerge after we called "Alligator, please come out!" So all we saw were some birds and this newt-lizard thing.
There may be no alligators outside our NY office building (that we know of; is it alligators or crocodiles in the sewer?), but there was a seal in the Gowanus, a turtle in Central Park, rooster in Brooklyn, and a whole menagerie out by Justin.
