Ireland Baldwin, the 16-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin, has given an interview to the NY Post's Page Six magazine, and she FINALLY clears the air about her dad's infamous 2007 tirade left on voicemail. And she says it's totally normal!

The 30 Rock star, who had set up a specific time to call his daughter, who was with ex-wife Kim Basinger at the time, yelled, "I don't give a damn that you're 12 years old, or 11 years old, or that you're a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass....You've made me feel like a fool over and over and over again. I'm going to straighten your ass out….You're a rude, thoughtless, little pig." Ireland told Page Six, "I've always had a really great relationship with my dad. The only problem with that voicemail was that people made it out to be a way bigger deal than it was. He's said stuff like that before just because he's frustrated. For me it was like, 'OK, whatever.' I called him back, I was like, 'Sorry, Dad, I didn't have my phone.' That was it."

And Alec Baldwin's therapist, Jane Shatz, said the reaction was pretty normal, given the circumstances of his bitter divorce, "It takes a lot of strength to detach from strong feelings. If the child defies us, it takes a rare person not to take it personally and not to act in anger. Besides the death of a child, alienation is the most painful thing a parent can go through."

Anyway! Ireland, who is 6'2", also understand her father's war with the paparazzi, "My dad has been going through it for so long, I can see how he gets frustrated. For me, it's all so new and fresh. If acting or modeling takes off, and I make a name for myself, I can see how I might get pretty frustrated."

Ireland is very social media savvy—she Tweets, she Tumbles, she Instagrams. Oh, and she's saving herself for marriage but she's fine with people admiring her great genes: "She was flattered when a reader admitted to masturbating to her pictures on the Internet: 'You're so sweet! Thanks!' she wrote back."
