Bryant Park is for professionals. (Scott Lynch/Gothamist)
During the summertime months, parks and other outdoor spaces around the city transform in to open air screening rooms. Various outdoor movie series' offer up a variety of options—everything from depictions of Paris to summer classics like Dirty Dancing. They're free, though some require a little more aggression for a butt-sized plot of grass (looking at you, Bryant Park), so make sure you get there early.
Below, we've put together a list of screenings in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan, which we'll be updating as more schedules are announced.
